Strawberries and raspberries are a thing of the past: we now spread açaí on our sandwiches. Açaí puree not only works in the bowl, but also on bread. Or the waffle. Or the pancakes. Or whatever you feel like! Our recipe for this superfood jam is prepared without refined sugar or gelatin and tastes intensely of the purple superberry from Brazil: fresh, berryy and slightly earthy.
What do you need? Our açaí drops, some agave syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, chia seeds and 15 minutes of time. Easy peasy.
Ingredients for the açaí jam (2 portions)
- 100 g Acai Drops
- 2 tablespoons of agave syrup
- 1 shot of lemon juice
- ½ tsp ground vanilla
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
preparation
- Melt the açaí drops with 2 tablespoons of water over medium heat in a small saucepan while stirring and stir. Turn off the heat and stir in the agave syrup, lemon juice and vanilla.
- Stir chia seeds into the açaí mixture and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat and let the jam stand for 5 minutes.
- Pour the jam into a glass and let it cool. Enjoy on porridge, with chia pudding, with pancakes or waffles or on rolls and bread.
