Would you like an energy boost? Whether before university, the office or your training: This smoothie bowl awakens tired minds, gives you lots of energy and catapults you straight out of bed to your desk or to the gym. Okay, you have to take a little detour via your kitchen.
What can this smoothie bowl do? Bananas, dates, coffee, cashews, and chocolate create a decadent and satisfying smoothie that's packed with healthy fats, fiber, and plant-based proteins. On top of that, there is also some caffeine in it to really get you going.
The bowl is free of refined sugar and naturally sweet thanks to bananas and dates. It has an incredibly creamy consistency and tastes like sweet, soothing chocolate mocha... A breakfast that sounds great - and tastes even better!
Simply mix all the ingredients for the smoothie bowl together and then top it with cashew or nut butter, crunchy cocoa nibs and fruity berries. For some extra protein, add a scoop of vegan chocolate protein powder to the bowl.
Ingredients for the smoothie bowl with banana (1 person)
For the bowl
- 2 bananas, frozen and sliced
- 3 dates, pitted
- 1 espresso shot (cooled)
- 1 tablespoon cashew butter
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- approx. 100 ml oat drink
optional: 1 scoop of vegan chocolate protein powder (note: then only use half a teaspoon of baking cocoa).
Toppings
- Cashew butter, we recommend our strawberry pink cashew nut butter !
- Cacao nibs
- fresh raspberries or banana
preparation
- Mix all the ingredients for the smoothie bowl until creamy. Gradually add the oat drink and use a little more or less liquid depending on the desired consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into a bowl, decorate with toppings and enjoy.
Remarks
Coffee not your thing? No problem. Either replace the espresso shot with decaffeinated coffee, half a teaspoon of maca powder, or simply leave it out.
