What does your typical daily routine look like?
My day starts at 7:30 with a balanced breakfast, then I go to training. After training, not only a Wholey Smoothie awaits me, but also the university. In the evening we go back to training, first in the gym and then in the water. For me, a certain routine in the daily routine is extremely important, we travel a lot and whether in the Champions League or with the national team it often becomes very stressful and this continuity helps me.

What has been the best moment in your career so far?
I think there are many nice moments in the career of a competitive athlete. My first German championship in 2013 is certainly just as much a part of it as my first appearance at the 2013 World Cup. We won the triple of championship, cup and Supercup with Waspo Hannover in 2018 and qualified for the 2019 World Cup in South Korea in the same year. Each of these events was an incredible experience.

What is important to you about your diet?
Above all, my diet has to fit into my daily routine and provide me with enough energy for my sport. I pay a lot of attention to regional origins and optimal benefits for myself as an athlete. Unfortunately, the options when traveling are often very limited.

How do you spend your free time?
In my free time I try to spend time with my friends and family as often as possible. I also like skiing.

"You can recognize me from afar...?"
"...most people recognize me because of my height, at 2.03m you stand out very quickly."

"If I weren't an athlete, then I would be...?"
"...then I would certainly still do something for sport in Germany."
