Sprinterin Ruth Spelmeyer ist Teil der Breakfast Heroes von Wholey

Ruth Spelmeyer

Who are you and what are you doing?
I'm Ruth, a 400m sprinter and a psychology student.

What does your typical daily routine look like?
I plan my day around one or two training units. I try to tinker the university schedule every semester so that it fits the daily requirements of the training. It is important to me not to have to rush from A to B all day, but rather to be able to concentrate well on the training in particular. Also, I cook pretty much every day and try to have at least one relaxed meal with my boyfriend.

Taking part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro has been my absolute career highlight so far and an event that I will always look back on with fondness!

What is important to you in your diet?
When it comes to my diet, it is important to me to know what I use when I cook in order to avoid additives and the like as much as possible. I like to cook and eat fresh, natural and quality products.

What do you do in your free time?
I like to spend my free time with my friends and family. I love to cook and eat, and when I'm on vacation I try to travel to get to know new things.
