Fluffy heart-shaped Dragon Bowl pancakes: vegan & delicious

Pancakes are welcome on our dining tables in any form and at any time of the day. On special occasions such as birthdays or Mother's Day, you can give a loved one a very special treat: these heart-shaped pancakes can be seen straight away and that they were baked with love. The Dragon Bowl gives the pancakes a wonderfully fruity note and a bright pink touch.

Ingredients for about 10 pancakes

  • 300 g buckwheat flour
  • 2 TL baking powder
  • 150 ml plant drink, e.g. almond or oats
  • 150 g plant-based yogurt
  • 4 EL agave syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt

Besides that

preparation

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, plant drink, yogurt, agave syrup and salt in a bowl to form a smooth dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat approx. 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in the pan. Pour approx. 3 tablespoons of batter into the pan per pancake and fry the pancakes on both sides over medium heat. Tip: As soon as bubbles form on the surface, turn the pancakes over.
  3. Blend the Dragon Smoothie Bowl in the blender for 60 seconds until creamy.
  4. Cut the pancakes into heart-shaped pieces with a sharp knife. Alternatively, you can use a large heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  5. Stack two or more pancakes on top of each other on a plate, spread a thick layer of Dragon Bowl between each. Garnish with fresh strawberries and coconut flakes and serve!

Use up leftover pancakes, or: quick Kaiserschmarrn

Of course, the cut edges of the heart-shaped pancakes don't end up in the trash. You can use it to conjure up a delicious portion of simple Kaiserschmarrn. Bake the leftovers briefly in the oven (180° top/bottom heat), garnish with raisins and serve on a plate with powdered sugar. Delicious with: apple or plum jam!

Remarks

Stir the yoghurt into the dough, spoon by spoon. Depending on the variety, it is very solid or rather liquid. This way you can better control the consistency and ensure that the pancakes are extra thick and super fluffy.

Herzförmige Pancakes mit Erdbeeren auf Teller

If you have silicone pancake molds at home, you can of course bake the heart-shaped pancakes in them.

You can use any of our other smoothie bowls instead of the Dragon Bowl. This will give your heart-shaped pancakes a different color depending on the occasion and taste. You can choose between the bright blue Ocean Bowl, the sunny yellow Tropical Bowl or the rich purple Açaí Bowl!
